[Sporting News.com]- Last time these two teams met up nothing impressive happened. No rusher or receiver broke 100 yards, neither QB passed for more than 200 yards and the kickers did most of the work.

For the Jets, Thomas Jones is on a hot streak. He's scored in four of five games since the bye week, including a three-TD performance last week in a hurting the Jets put on the Rams. That's his second three-TDer of the season. The Patriots aren't great against the run so Jones becomes a definite starter. Not to mention the weather is going to be craptastic (rainy, windy, cold, etc.) which makes backs an even safer bet.

Coles and Cotchery are still ailing, as they have been for what feels like an eternity. They will both play, but how much will they do? The Patriots are middle of the road when it comes to defending the pass but neither receiver did much of anything against the Rams who are even worse on the pass. Depending on who else you have these two might be better suited for the bench.

Moss is a starter for the week as he and Matt Cassel have grown more comfortable with each other since Cassel's first start against the Jets. Sammy Morris could get back in the game this week making BenJarvus Green-Ellis a risky start. As for the passers, you can find better options than Favre and Cassel now that the bye weeks are gone.
