New York- RENEGADE American Apparel CEO Dov Charney hired porn star Lauren Phoenix http://adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=10005 to hawk his socks, so his latest legal troubles maybe aren't so surprising. Charney, whose company touts its unbranded clothing and progressive policies in soft-core ads, is being sued by three female ex-employees for sexual harassment and lewdness, WWD reports.
Former sales manager Mary Nelson claims Charney dropped his pants, touched himself and referred to his employees in a vulgar manner. She wants 10 percent of the company's revenues for damages. Other employees charge Charney asked them to round up sex partners for him. Charney denies the charges but admits he "made mistakes." An article in Jane magazine last year noted he had oral sex with an employee and performed a lewd act in front of the reporter.
