VENICE, CA – All across the world women dream of getting into the adult entertainment industry and becoming the next big star like Jenna Jameson.
For most, they lack the courage or the resources to pursue their perverted dreams, getting lost at run down strip clubs across America’s sad highways, sharing their talents with the few lonely truckers that make the trek up to their neck of the woods. Not so for Angelica Saige, who began living her dreams at the start of summer.
Crowned Miss Erotica Los Angeles 2009 by a panel of distinguished judges, Angelica went on to sign a one year contract with L.A. Direct Models.
Her first shoot, as well as her first time ever on an adult set, was with legendary photographer Suze Randall. Up in the hills above Malibu on Suze’s infamous ranch, Angelica learned the basics of modeling one oh one from the renowned smut mistress herself.
“It was a big learning experience,” Angelica muses. “She taught me a lot about posing and stuff. I’m really glad I learned all of that before I had my other shoots.”
A week later she moved on to her Wicked Pictures shoot – a boy girl scene with Rocco Reed. Michael Raven movie tentatively titled Fairy Tale where she played a happy newlywed frolicking in the backyard on a blanket.
“She has great energy,” quips the award-winning feature director. “I think she’s well suited to this industry and can go pretty much as far as she is willing to take it.”
Angelica herself conquered her jitters and dove right into the scene.
“I didn’t have dialogue so I wasn’t really nervous,” Angelica says. “It was kinda awkward, but it was fun. He was really gentle and passionate.”
Since then she’s gone on to shoot for Digital Playground, Reality Kings, Eric Everhard, and Brazzers to name a few. She’s steadily on the rise. By year’s end, as part of her title, she will be featured on the front cover of AVN magazine.
“It will definitely happen in 2009. We’re intrigued by her unique entry into the industry,” said AVN Editor-in-Chief Dan Miller. “It will be very interesting to watch where she goes from here.”
So how does the newly crowned Queen feel about getting into the industry?
“I definitely feel that I made the right decision by getting into porn,” Angelica says. “I couldn’t really see myself doing anything else right now. I think I am right where I am supposed to be.”
