New York- The Mets brought Kris Benson to Flushing to throw strikes, but his wife is already tossing fans curves – and putting up some impressive numbers. Like 36-24-34.
Those are the measurements that Georgia peach Anna Benson lists on her revealing Web site.
And 50,000 is the number of visitors www.annabenson.net has been getting every day since the Amazin’s began eying her husband earlier this season.
“It’s insane,” the aspiring actress and model told the Daily News yesterday as her husband prepared for his first start as a Met.
“People in New York are so happy and we’re excited to be wanted.”
Anna Benson, a mother of three with long dark hair and a flair for self-promotion, is used to causing her stir.
In the past, she has grabbed headlines for appearing topless in Penthouse and dishing dirt on her sex life – or lack thereof.
“Each player has his own ritual, and Kris’ is no sex when he pitches,” she said in the May/June issue of Player magazine.
“I hate it. There’s no scientific proof that sex is going to hurt your pitching performance,” she continued. “I like having sex with Kris. We’ve had some pretty nasty fights over this issue.”
Mets fans might want to steer clear of the Benson SUV in the Shea parking lot. Anna once told a reporter how she and Kris made whoopee in the back outside Pittsburgh’s old Three Rivers Stadium as autograph-seekers banged on the tinted windows.
But Benson – who describes herself as a “Southern Belle with a New York attitude” – doesn’t want the Big Apple to get the wrong idea about her.
“Not everything about me is all about sex,” she said from her Atlanta home. “It’s a very, very small part of what I’m about.”
She said she’d like to host a public-affairs TV show and launch a cosmetics line – the original impetus for the Web site, which features sexy photos of the brown-eyed beauty.
She’s an investor in a show called “Pieces of Ass” – think of it as “The Vagina Monologues” for hot chicks – and may appear in it soon.
“I’m getting a crazy amount of attention,” she said. “It’s a little overwhelming, but I’m rolling with the punches.
