Massachusetts- from www.boston.com – An arrest has been made in the slaying of a 26-year-old exotic dancer who was found stabbed outside her Everett apartment building a week ago, authorities said this afternoon.

More details about the latest development in the case involving Sheila Santos of Everett are to be released at a 5 p.m. news conference at the Middlesex district attorney’s office in Woburn.

Santos was attacked and killed outside her Main Street apartment building shortly after she finished work at Club Alex’s in Stoughton at around 1:15 a.m. last Friday.

Her bloody body was found on the cement stairs leading to the rear door of her multi-unit apartment building, just steps away from her black Honda CR-V, according to neighbors and police.

Her sister told the Globe that Santos had grown increasingly worried in recent weeks that someone was following her home from her job at the strip club.

Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone and officials from Everett and State police are planning to appear at the news conference.
