Station History and Controversies
KSEX, also known as KSEXradio, is an online radio station that focuses on sex and pornography topics. It is described as one of the only adult Internet radio stations in the United States specializing in news and current events within the pornography industry. The station originated from a garage in the San Diego area and was later acquired by a group that previously owned the CyberSynergism affiliate program and content provider.
Wayne C. Lewis, known as Wankus, managed KSEX and was later made a part owner. Wankus was publicly fired from the station while on-air in May 2007. KSEXradio was purchased by Ultimate Entertainment Group (UEG) in 2006. The station permanently shut down on February 4, 2008, as reported by Jason Sechrest on AdultFYI.com.
In April 2008, the adult entertainment site Rude.com took over the studio space and some of the KSEXradio crew. Rude.com launched RudeTV as an adult internet television channel with programming similar to KSEX, revamping the space.
Reports from Don Vito on Adult Hearsay describe various incidents at KSEX. These include discussions of drug use, urination, solicitation of prostitution, and "snorting of seaman." Don Vito criticized the "new KSEX" led by Porno Dan Leal and owner Jon Belinkie, stating, "You are what gives the industry a bad name."
Don Vito's account details a specific Friday show hosted by Porno Dan. During this show, Dan and XXX J reportedly went on a rant against Rude.com, which led to Rude.com immediately pulling the KSEX feed. Porno Dan then stated that KSEX was suing Rude.com. The show also featured questions to guests such as "How many abortions did you have" after they were asked to sniff cum off a mirror. XXX J reportedly stated he would "throw da bitch down the stairs for $150" if she wanted an abortion. Additionally, both Porno Dan and XXX J reportedly offered money for sex to a guest discussing being an escort. Porno Dan was quoted saying, "I know how much I spend on hookers in Vegas. Lets get 5 guys and chip in." XXX J also reportedly bragged about his drug use, and a guest pointed out his tattoo of a needle.
Don Vito also reported that within 30 days of the departure of Joe Brandi and Lorraine (Rainy), over 13 employees had quit, with an additional 5-7 expected to leave by week's end. Don Vito asserted that Belinkie had been "destroying the name" of KSEX since he took over.
