Gene, the only way a few pieces of this product surfaced, 30-32 as claimed, is due to the fact we get returns, and these are taken care of as we are able to do so. We do not ever turn down sales. As far as the condition of product returned, we knew this so we took pictures of the cartons before they left here, which we have on file. The boxes were in perfect condition. What happened in transit is not our fault.
We seem to be at a place here where there is major name calling and I will not resort to that. It is not appropriate to be derogatory, or mean because a distribution deal does not work out. The product did not perform well, because of the product, not Dane. I am not going to say anything about the line, other than it did not sell well at Dane, and this is true of other lines we distribute as well.
Some are winners, some are not.
On a personal note, to mr. valentine, I want to say this, I always treated you and your wife with dignity and respect. I listened to all the diatribes about how great you were doing, and I was always legitimately happy for you. I made mine before Dane in my own in the clothing business, and came into this industry not realizing that there are so many people with axes to grind. The industry knows how we pack product, and we never have any problems. We shipped according to your wishes, and not our normal day to day deliverer, UPS.
I would like this bullshit to end here, but I have a strong feeling it will not. There are 2 old sayings that come to mind here, “let sleeping dogs lay”, and “when something passes its expiration date, throw it out.” I need not say anymore. Bob B, Dane Productions.
