Los Angeles [CBS]- If you noticed it getting a little hotter this weekend, you’re not alone. No doubt the heat coming from the Convention Center had something to do with it.

This weekend, the Convention Center was the site of the 13th annual L.A. Erotica Convention which celebrates the best in porn, erotica, merchandise and some gizmos, frankly, we can neither discuss nor describe on a family friendly web site.

Still, porn is a multi-billion (with a b) business and one of the few that seem to be booming in this economy.

CBS2.com and KCAL9.com web producers Erik Oginski and Alan Carter, along with photographer Su-e Tan attended, along with KCAL 9 and CBS 2 Entertainment reporter Christina McLarty.

Hey, we said porn was big business, and it took a lot of dedicated professionals to cover it.

The three-day event kicked off Friday with appearances by such porn superstars as Stormy Daniels, Tera Patrick, Belladonna, Lexington Steele, Jack Lawrence, Taylor Wane, Tommy Gunn, Gianna Lynn and the girls of Wicked. We also enjoyed meeting adorable porn couple Faye Reagan and Dan Cross. She loves that he “cleans the litter box.” [We assume they have a cat.]

We also happily ran into Michelle Manhart, featured in the Painted Pin-Up Calendar we recently featured.

We also sampled candies make into erotic shapes (“butt”erscotch is one of the few we can mention), we also talked with pervs, oops, perveyors about vibrating gloves (those were a major kick, fellas), surgical enhancements (for men and women), sexy clothes and fashions (including a thong that has to be seen to be believed) and some sex-related business that mix Internet dating and fantasy in ways even the most ardent computer or porn geek could never have imagined.

And no erotica convention would be complete without strippers male (The Hollywood Men in a particularly steamy, sexy 20-minute set) and female, lingerie models, pole dancers, hot cars,
