The Center for Disease Control might not be big on the PCR-DNA test, but one of its high-ranking employees is certainly big on kiddie porn.
Atlanta- A man who works for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is charged in connection with child pornography, officials said.
Scott McCombs is expected to make his first court appearance Friday. McCombs is the deputy chief of the CDC’s Tuberculosis Elimination Division.
Police in Cherokee County arrested McCombs earlier this week on charges of sexual exploitation of a child. Deputies say they found evidence of child pornography at McCombs’ home on Summer Point Drive in Woodstock.
CDC officials say they are cooperating with police and will not make any decision regarding McCombs’ employment until the outcome of the investigation.
