Porn Valley- I spoke to Jonathan Morgan today and my first question to him was whether Nicole London owed him money. Morgan said, no, but that he felt he owed Chloe something. Maybe in the way of an apology and a clarification. Chloe was on with Kylie Ireland this week on KSEX, www.ksexradio.com and talked about the time she and Morgan had been duking it out for the bragging rights to Evan Stone. Morgan was shooting a movie. And she was shooting a movie and it would have required the wisdom of Solomon to divide the baby.
“What Chloe was saying about the mishap or the run-in that we had last year over her comedy and my comedy Space Nuts is absolutely true,” says Morgan. “There’s nothing that she said that was a lie.” Morgan said the only thing he’s extremely regretful about is the manner in which he went about trying to get Evan Stone when both shoots occupied the same days.
“She’s absolutely right- I handled it the worst possible way,” Morgan states. “I said things that were completely disrespectful for somebody of her stature. I cannot apologize enough to Chloe for the way that I handled it.”
Morgan also confirmed the roses portion of Chloe’s story. He did send them to her. “I felt that was one of the many small things I wish I could do because I’ve known Chloe for so many years and I really am hurt that I went to a dark place and did something as shitty as I did to someone who I would call a friend. Obviously she hasn’t let it go which tells me it must have hit her pretty hard.”
“It’s resonating like the bolts in her back,” I speculate.
Morgan chuckles but says he’s extremely sorry for what happened. “I know that Chloe is extremely talented both as a performer as well as a director. I’ve seen the movies that she’s done mostly in the comedy field and she is definitely a force to be reckoned with. I feel that every year she is by far, my toughest competition in that category.”
Morgan said he took a break this year from directing comedies and thinks that Chloe has “an unbelievable chance” with her show. “I found myself laughing at the right spots. She’s a great talent.”
“Me, I always like the movies where I laugh at the wrong spots,” I replied.
“And as far as Miss Ireland’s response that the only reason why I sent flowers was to get into Chloe’s pants,” Morgan continues, “my comments to that are that I’ve worked with Chloe in the past when we were both performers. And I would have to say that any guy that is fortunate enough to work with her on or off camera is a lucky guy because she’s one of the premier performers this industry has ever seen.”
“Not always but often, Kylie seems to manage to get a dig in on you during the course of her KSEX show. I know you two guys had dated at one time. I did an interview with her awhile back and she mentioned that you owed her money.”
“I’ve discussed that with Miss Ireland already in the past about our situation,” Morgan answers. “As far as that goes, I’ve resolved it with her. I don’t feel that I need to get into anything more than that for the public. But, yes, she does have a show, and she has thrown in her little digs and stuff like that. I definitely account that for the fact that we did have a relationship and it did have a rocky ending. Some people get over relationships differently. Some people say, oh, well, that’s a life lesson. And other people say I’m going to hate you until the end of time.
“As far as Miss Ireland goes, Morgan goes on to say, “I have absolutely not one negative thing to say about her. I am so happy that she’s getting into directing. I always love when performers move from in front of the camera to behind the camera. I’ve heard from different websites great reviews on her first movie endeavor. And I know she just got done shooting another movie. I haven’t had the joy of taking a look at them but from reading these reviews, I’m sure that she will be one of the premier female gonzo directors in our industry and I wish her the best. I don’t know what her current relationship situation is but I’m sure she would love to settle down and find the right guy. And I hope she does that.”
“Doesn’t it bug you to know that Bryn Pryor’s banging her in the ass?
“I don’t know Bryn Pryor,” says Morgan. “I only know him just by name. To tell you the truth if Bryn Pryor walked through the doors of Wicked, I could honestly say I wouldn’t know him. I only know him by name. I know that he did do one movie for Wicked with Kylie as the star which was very interesting. He hasn’t shot anything else for us so I couldn’t comment any more. I don’t know him.”
“So you took a break this year? You must be hauling in the bucks to be able to do that.”
“I took a break from features in general,” says Morgan. “But the money didn’t stop. I’m still currently employed over at Wicked. We’ve been doing some new things over at Wicked. This year was the first year- and a lot of people said, jeezus, it’s about time- this is the first year that Wicked actually decided to put out comps. Like Wicked has always done in the past we’ve always wanted to be the leader and the best. Anyone can put out a four hour comp which is one of the things that we’re doing. But another thing is what we call a high end comp which is almost like a E! True Hollywood story. Those are called The Jenna Anthologies. We have had amazing success with those. They have just been selling through the roof. So I’ve been doing those as well as a series called Wicked Divas which I would have to call the Rolls Royce of comps- low money but high profit.
“That’s where I’ve been focusing my time but for 2005 I have a bunch of scripts slated and one of them is going to be another big comedy epic. So I will be back to, hopefully, giving everyone some healthy competition, unlike with Miss Chloe, being a big pain in the ass and a gigantic asshole. I do want to make amends and I do want to right a wrong.”
