from www.wqad.com – DAVENPORT, Iowa— A Davenport gentlemen’s club will stay open after winning a judgment in Iowa’s Appellate Court.

The court ruled that Chorus Line, 4128 North Brady Street, was improperly denied a license to operate a strip club in 2009.

At that time, city leaders cited city code which prohibited two adult entertainment businesses from occupying the same lot. Dr. John’s Lingerie Boutique also operates at the 4128 North Brady Street address at Suite 2.

However, Dr. John’s operates under a retail license and not as an adult entertainment business.

An attorney representing Chorus Line reportedly will seek damages and attorney fees from the City of Davenport.
