Virginia- The owner of a Richmond strip club awaits arraignment this week on two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Sam Moore was arrested at Club Velvet at 2:45 a..m. on Saturday when city, state and federal law-enforcement officers raided the club on South 15th Street in Shockoe Bottom. The warrants were issued for his arrest late Friday.

Initially, Moore was to be arraigned today in Richmond Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court. Due to a delay in transmitting paperwork to the court, the arraignment has been postponed until Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Moore recently signed a contract with a construction company to transform the former Julian’s Restaurant at 2617 W. Broad St. into a nightclub — across the street from the Children’s Museum of Richmond.
