Porn Valley- At one time he was Colorado Joe. Then he was New York Joe, then Vegas Joe and now Joe Laughlin, in a reconstituted persona, has moved to California. But this time Laughlin, who opened a modeling agency this past January, wants to be known as AMA Joe, AMA Talent, www.amatalent.com, being the name of his agency in which Laughlin's repping something like 25 girls.
Boy, that's quick I'm telling Loughlin, remembering some of the Internet battles he used to get suckered into; and this is only like three years ago. Laughlin said he's gotten smart in a short time, that he used to get drawn into these squabbles he couldn't win and made some tactical mistakes instead of keeping his mouth shut. Instead, now, Laughlin's focusing on building a business. And it's obviously worked. Laughlin's telling me about some all expenses paid deal he's got in Japan- sends two girls over a month to shoot 6 to 10 scenes each. Sounds very sweet.
I was over to Laughlin's offices on Topanga Monday afternoon. It's a nice set up, and you think you're walking into a law office. Laughlin said this is for good reason, that he wants girls to feel comfortable in the place, like they're not entering some den of iniquity. Laughlin's showing me other suites in the building where he shoots content for sites like www.tushycash.com. Laughlin's saying a couple more clients like that and he could retire. Besides the content and talent, Laughlin's also got some DVD lines going, and in a couple of days will be announcing the signing of his first contract girl.
Because it's not official, Laughlin's giving her name to me on the hush-hush. This is a fairly big name girl who's already equipped with some major p.r. so Laughlin figures she's going to be bringing along a substantial fan base.
Loughlin's also giving me the Lou Gehrig luckiest man in the world speech, only in Laughlin's case, about a chunky guy with a small dick living the dream.
Also helping Laughlin run the company is Rob Longshot. Longshot was one of many Extreme Associates webmasters who fell into the sinkhole but he still keeps good relations with the company, he tells me. All this is very interesting, really, but I find myself asking Laughlin who the babe is answering the phones. He tells me it's Vanilla Skye, that he's got some kind of deal worked out with her. This is the first I'm seeing Vanilla Skye in person. And I'm thinking, yeah. Gotta put Laughlin's office on the frequent visit list.
