Porn Valley- Most of the time Damian looks like Woody Harrelson. But not on Guy Capo's set of Gothsend 2. Damian dyed his usual blond hair black. And you get the impression that, if he had to, he'd have gotten a couple of tats for added authenticity. Such as it is, they already came on his arm standard issue. Damian says it's been a common mistake to misspell his name. He also talks about his split-up with Jezabelle Bond.
Gene: Today you don't look like Woody Harrelson but most of the time you do. How often do you get that a day?
Damian: On the average of once a day, usually. Usually I tell people I'm his stunt man. They buy it.
Gene: People actually come up to you?
Damian: Yeah. I had to convince a couple of old ladies at the airport a few months ago that I wasn't him. Then I said, I am him. They said we knew it, we knew it. I get that all the time because I have blond hair just like him. I saw him in Hawaii. We looked at each other.
Gene: You didn't know him at the time?
Damian: No.
Gene: Give me the scenario.
Damian: He was surfing in Maui. I saw him in the water. We were, like, whoa. I'm like, hey. He's, like, ah. It was pretty cool.
Gene: You strike up a conversation or was this a matter of lookalikes passing in the night.
Damian: I was telling him the whole spiel how I look like him. He's going, I know. I said hey you need a stunt man. But I'm a foot taller than him.
Gene: What brought you into the business.
Damian: My sister Sondra Hall was a Jill Kelly girl. Her husband was PM'ing for Jill at the time [about two years ago] and I came down here for a visit and have been here ever since. I got into the mix and started shooting camera and doing all kinds of tech work. I'm a pro surfer from Santa Cruz, California. I did a little bit of [tech] work for Jill helping them out about a year and half ago. I met a girl in the business and we started shooting together. I kind of got used to the camera. We did a big run in the beginning and kind of took it easy in the middle because of the whole boyfriend-girlfriend thing.
Gene: The kiss of death.
Damian: Yeah, the kiss of death. Then I found the dark alleys of Los Angeles. The evils of L.A. got to me. It really didn't make for shooting good scenes. I'm back. The past four months have been fabulous. I've been single for the last two months. I love going to work now.
Gene: What split you and Jezabelle Bond up?
Damian: It was the quintessential porno relationship split up. The heavies of going to work and having other men and women involved in your life- we did well, but it was time to move on. It was a mutually arrived at decision, for sure. I knew in my head it was time to go.
Gene: Were your first scenes with her?
Damian: Actually I did a couple of scenes in Pompano, Florida for a company. They were with her [Bond]. It made it a lot easier.
Gene: What was going on in Pompano, Florida?
Damian: That's where my sister and her husband were living before they moved back out here. I did a little Internet stuff and a couple hundred dollar gigs here and there. I was working for Jill Kelly and Skye was directing. I thought I can do that! She was, like, yeah, right. A couple of months later I was doing it.
Gene: I get the impression that you don't do this full time.
Damian: I do now. Yeah. I'm with L.A. Direct, wwwladirectmodels.com, now. I was with LA Direct when I first got into the business. But I actually had to prove myself when I came back to work for Derrick. I fell off. My scenes weren't good. I was fucked up on drugs.
Gene: Ah, the dark alleys.
Damian: Those were the dark alleys. Damian: Some weird, crazy stuff.
Gene: I figured by surfing you would have found these dark alleys a lot sooner.
Damian: Very dark but not as pitch black as these. There's some new and interesting stuff down here that I fell victim to.
Gene: That's the thing about Los Angeles, you don't watch yourself you leave it in a body bag.
Damian: Yeah. You're absolutely right and it scared the hell out of me. I sobered up.
Gene: With the Woody-thing going for you, did you ever get laid by women who thought you were him?
Damian: NO!!! LOL. That would be the con of all time. I probably would have used it if I thought that was how I was going to get laid. But, nah, I never did.
Gene: Some guys use vague resemblances to rock stars to get laid.
Damian: Yeah, LOL
Gene: What kind of kid were you like growing up.
Damian: I was an athlete, go-getter, rock n' roll kind of guy. I actually play rock n' roll now. I'm a musician and sell music to a lot of people like Digital Blue, Flynt, all my friends, whoever needs music for their videos. Adult videos. I was a kid who was, I'll try it once. I was in the crowd of athletes- the blacks, the whites, the browns. I was one of those guys, a chameleon.
Gene: When was your first time to get laid?
Damian: I was 15. It was in the rain at my elementary school. The playground. I'll never forget it.
Gene: How did that scenario work out?
Damian: It was quick!! LOL. I was, whew.
Gene: Of all things in the rain.
Damian: It started to rain. It was almost fairy tale. It wasn't raining prior to when we came to the playground.
Gene: Did you know this girl?
Damian: Yeah, it was a built up kind of situation. I think we both lost our virginity at the same time.
Gene: Was she a girlfriend.
Damian: She was my girlfriend, but it was that time when you're getting your license and you're getting to be older in high school...she wasn't my girlfriend for that much longer!!
Gene: Were you standing up and doing this.
Damian: We were on the grass. I was on the bottom. As kids it's tough and your parents are away. This was 8 o'clock at night and we had no other choice.
Gene: So the thrill was gone after this one?
Damian: Yeah, but the thrill of other women probably came into mind, I think.
Gene: Where's the craziest place you've had sex?
Damian: In my private life the craziest place would have to be the Mile High Club. That was pretty cool. I was going down to Cabo with this girlfriend of mine from Santa Cruz. It was that easy. We walked right in after each other. We didn't give a fuck or care who saw.
Gene: Those stalls are a little tight.
Damian: She was smaller than I was. Which was nice. I sat right up on the sink. And kind of like a standing cowgirl-like situation.
Gene: I assume her fate befell the other short life spans of relationships?
Damian: Yeah! LOL. No, actually I ended up living with her a year and a half. A little surfer girl. I'm a sucker for little surfer girls.
Gene: What is your type of woman.
Damian: I like them very sexually active- as much as me- and on similar brainwaves as well. Maybe we can do scenes together, not just stay in the Valley and fester and wait for work but get out there and have common interests. Not to be cliche, but to hike around, or go walk around. Everyone drives around and nobody wants to do anything.
Gene: So how did you meet Jezabelle Bond?
Damian: I met her on a Jill Kelly set. I was tech-ing and she asked me to go out that night. We were with each other 24/7 for two years.
Gene: What clicked?
Damian: What clicked first is that she's so beautiful and we hit it off. We had amazing sex and amazing lovemaking. It always got better. You think you reach a certain point, but it always got better. I was seriously amazed. It was two years. I didn't think it was fuckin' possible.
Gene: I would have to imagine that she's a woman of surprises.
Damian: Yeah. Jezabelle is a woman of surprises. No doubt about it. That red hair and tattoos...
Gene: Her hair's black, now.
Damian: Yeah, black-haired now...
Gene: And you dyed your hair for this show...
Damian: I just played a gig down in Hollywood. I had real bleached out hair. I have back hair sometimes but for Guy I didn't think the blond hair would have applied.
Gene: Have you worked for Guy before?
Damian: No, but I've worked with his co-host [on KSEX] Nicki Hunter. They invited me on the radio show the day after we did an amazing scene for Vertigo. I've always wanted to work for Guy. I love the Goth style. I think the makeup is really cool and he always hires hot chicks.
Gene: Ever think in your wildest imagination you'd be doing this?
Damian: Never in my wildest imagination. Porn has pretty much warped me as far as the white house and the picket fence, the 2.5 kids and honey, please pass the milk. Instead, have you seem my black dildo? How about my douche? Pass my enema. And I'm just finishing up my first solid year of performing and I'm still wet behind the ears. But it's much easier now. It took me awhile to get used to it with the whole morality of it. Especially when I was working with Jezabelle. We both were working once, twice, three, four times a month solid- a lot together. If you love somebody in the business, it's hard unless you're just totally warped out. I don't know how people do it.
Gene: Growing up did you watch porn?
Damian: My dad always had Penthouse and Hustler sent to the house so I was really stoked on that. But video? When I started getting into sex my dad had Behind the Green Door. It was in a rental package but he never returned it. He had it for years. I turned it on...way out there for sure. I didn't even know what was going on. But, randomly, I'd come across some porno videos. I wasn't renting them by any means.
Gene: Any thoughts on getting into production?
Damian: I do produce and direct all my scenes which go to Gentlemen's Video, www.gentsdvd.com, Mike Esposito. Jezabelle and I started a site called www.forbiddenfleshfilms.com and there's a trailer of a movie we started last year on a shoestring budget. But we paid for everything ourselves. I was shooting stuff like surfing and snowboarding, then I started working for New Sensations and Johnni Darko. I really learned a lot from him- how to shoot really cool sex. No man crack!!! LOL. He taught me a lot, and I owe a lot to him. I do my own pretty girls. I do my own PM'ing. I shoot all my stuff. I sometimes even do makeup for girls. I don't mind.
Gene: What's your sexual turn on?
Damian: I'm a full package kind of guy. I don't particularly like fake boobies. I like a natural woman. You can see it in their eyes where they leak a little bit of sex. Like a musk almost. I don't know. I go through these phases- blonds, brunettes.. I think I'm back to blonds now.
Gene: Think you might go back to another relationship in the business?
Damian: For the time being I'm definitely off that kick. I don't think it's healthy. For me, personally. It's not good for my lifestyle and my mind. It's too much, man.
Gene: So if the conversation on the outside comes down to what do you do for a living, what do you do for a living?
Damian: First I say I model. LOL. Then they ask what kind. I say, sometimes I do some nude. What do you mean, nude? Sometimes I do adult. Sometimes I act. What kind of stuff have you acted in? Adult. It usually comes out. In rare times I won't say exactly what I do. But I think being honest right off the bat, you can tell if it's good enough.
Gene: But what is the general reaction?
Damian: It's scary sometimes because they'll look at you as somekind of sleazy cat. Generally it's 50-50. You can get a bad reaction. You can get a good reaction. But if you come across honest and go into a little involvement on the production side, it kind of takes away from the bite.
Gene: Not every guy can do what male performers can do in the business.
Damian: It's heavy, dropping trou in front of multiple people and being on camera so that it's documented. You got a lot of pressure to keep wood.
Gene: Do you have tricks where you can block things out.
Damian: I like to pay a lot of attention to the girl. I think my trick is learning by experience. Repetition was my best way of getting over it. Just working with directors that you're comfortable with, doing it and having fun with it. It's better than digging ditches.
