Porn Valley- I had a phone chat recently with Sunny Lane who plays the lead role in Nic Andrews’ Dark Angeles 2: Bloodline which was just released by New Sensations. Lane, back from Tampa where she won the Best New Starlet award at the Nightmoves Show, competed in the KSEX games this past Saturday for Team Tyler.

More than anything else, I enjoy Lane’s story about how she used to compete in figure skating until she had a bunion removed. I’ve always had a fetish about biting bunions off the feet of lady athletes, but I didn’t convey this to Lane for fear she might have hung up. Lane tells me she’s been keeping “super-duper busy”.

Lane was in Florida for five days at the Tampa Show and had a lot of fun, according to her. “There was different events and signing and we got to met a lot of the fans,” she says. “I also got to meet porn stars in the business that I didn’t get to meet before. And the awards show was really nice. I won the Best New Starlet Editors Choice.”

Lane came into the industry about nine months ago. She was a dancer at Deja Vu in Tampa.

When I met Lane for the first time at the KSEX Games she tells me she got a good laugh about the bunion comments. Lane had been on KSEX a couple of days prior and, because I missed the story, I asked her to fill me in about the internal pop shot scene, as it were.

“It was for Devil Pictures,” she explained. “It’s pretty interesting- it was the second scene I ever did. It was with Kurt Lockwood. He’s a straight guy who actually eats his own cum. It was out from inside of me. He cums inside of me, then I push it out. I’m in doggie style and he opens his mouth up and catches it all. It was hot. In our chat Lane gave me some of the rundown about how she got into the business and the movie she did for Nic Andrews.

“I went out to Vegas [last January] to see what the industry had to offer me. I was ready to have some fun. Playboy ran into me and I was ready to make the jump,” she said. “I figured I was in the adult industry, I really like it- I like the entertainment field. Playboy came up to me and said you have the look that we want. I went back home to Florida and got back in touch with them. They said would you like to do radio. What do you know? I came out here a week later, got on the radio with Juli Ashton and Tiffany Granath. That night I got on Night Calls.

According to Lane, everything pretty much took off after that.

“I got into an agency and I started off with hardcore,” Lane says.

“My first thing I did was for New Sensations and Brother Love’s POV Fantasies Volume One- I have the cover of that one.

“That was a neat way to start off by being on Playboy and doing that movie,” she continues. “I also did my first Internet shoot with Chris Evans. It all started happening at one time. I’ve been working really hard and all these great things have been happening.”

Dark Angels 2 was a fun movie for her, says Lane. “What an experience- to shoot a feature film, then getting a lead role and it being a sequel. I didn’t know who Nic Andrews was and what was going on so when I went to the cold reading, it went really well. Then they asked me to come back do another one and I got the part.

“For me to play a role like this I really had to go outside myself to be a timid and a battered woman,” Lane goes on to say. “I’m a very positive person and happy.” Lane says the movie’s awesome especially how Andrews shot the movieIn the film, Lane works at a diner. Her character’s name is Jessie, and, according to Lane, she has the virgin blood that the vampires crave.

“The vampires are after me,” she says. “It’s a very good movie and action-packed.” Lane gets one “very erotic” sex scene in the film with Dillion Day who was also in the first film; and the rest for her is dialogue. Lane had been on the set the whole time and her scen with Day came at the end of the 11-day shoot. But it gave Lane a good perspective on the film. And on the days she wasn’t shooting, Lane was still on the set to see what was going on.

“It was all very interesting to me.”

From the time she was a kid, Lane was always an athlete.

“I was always working out and being competitive, even off the ice,” she says. “I had always been into fitness and my well being and my health. So being a kid I was always happy and positive. Being a competitive ice skater gives you so much confidence. It’s empowering- you learn so much about yourself.”

Until her surgery at the age of 23, Lane was earmarked for the Olympics in free style, figure skating and ice dancing. “I really had a good chance there.” But after the surgery, according to Lane, her training schedule was knocked out of whack. “Things were just happening.” But Lane also managed to coach kids to senior citizens for five years.

“I’m just glad I got to do things as long as I did,” she says. “But it’s hard to stand on the sides and not being able to compete myself.”

I ask Lane with all this focus on sports, was there time for sex. In other words was she a sexed-up kid who had to repress herself in the name of figure skating.

“There’s a time and a place for everything,” she says. “I was raised to be open-minded and to love myself, and not be ashamed of my body. By being in skating and being in sports I got to express myself creatively. I’ve always been a highly sexual person because I’ve masturbated since I was a little girl and I masturbate all the time.”

The first time Lane had sex was the age of 16 with a boyfriend.

“We both lost our virginity together,” she said. “At 16 it was a good age and it was with someone I was comfortable with. It was the right situation.”

Lane was very excited about being in front of the camera her first time for New Sensations. And the scene she did with Chris Evans, Evans made her feel very comfortable.

“I always watched him on Playboy,” Lane muses. For the Brother Love POV shoot, Lane said she talked to the camera. “He was my boyfriend and had a picnic set up. It was a really hot scene and I made the cover for it. I was very excited about the whole situation. I like being in front of the camera. I am an exhibitionist. I’m a performer. I love to entertain. I like to turn it on. It’s a lot like skating in some ways. Now I’m not on a skating rink but I am on a stage.”

Lane says she was really excited just to be nominated for best New Starlet but didn’t expect to win in Tampa.

“I was up against some really, really hot women in the industry. It was a good surprise for me and when they announced my name I was, whew, weak in the knees you might say.”
