Porn Valley- I spoke to Craig Valentine Wednesday and Valentine's been claiming that Arnold Stein at Old Pueblo Distribution owes him money. Valentine, who's taken jabs at Stein in the past on GFY.com says he'd like to see Stein's reply in a public forum. Valentine claims that Stein's been collecting VOD money which should have gone to Valentine.
"This has to be with Mr. Stein listing my titles and collecting the VOD Money from Hot Movies and AEBN for almost a year," says Valentine, noting that the titles being contested are Behind Closed Doors 4 & 5 and American Blowjob Queen, volume 1.
"I spoke to Hot Movie, and I spoke to AEBN and Arnold Stein even sent an e-mail himself to Hot Movies, to the content manager, stating he's sorry- he doesn't know how those titles got listed [to Stein]," Valentine states.
"They really are Club Summer Haze's titles. So Hot Movies turned around and re-listed them as our titles and linked them to our account. AEBN just completely booted them from the system. Arnold's response to me months ago even though we weren't talking, was that Hot Movies and AEBN still have never paid him to this date. When I questioned Hot Movies and AEBN they always pay- like clockwork. They pay. We all know this."
According to Valentine, he got a nice sized check from Hot Movies since the error was corrected and the titles were switched back to Valentine's account. But that's not telling Valentine what happened to his money prior to that.
"He [Stein] listed them; he got the funds. Where are they?" asks Valentine. "Where's the year's worth of funds that Mr. Stein had collected? First he signs a form to these companies saying he owns the titles. Then he e-mails them saying it was a big mistake, that the warehouse guy shipped them, he wasn't supposed to, that kind of thing. But he got paid, though. The same thing with the other studios - he did it too. But I'm not really concerned about that. I don't want to hear any excuse that they didn't pay because that's bullshit." Valentine also claims his lawyer has sent Stein three requests about the money.
"I haven't seen any money and he hasn't responded," says Valentine who claims that he also has uncollected funds from two checks that bounced. In another instance, Valentine has been in communication with a Canadian VOD company regarding something similar.
"I have the documents that he [Stein] sent off to Adult Rental where he sent them 10 copies of each one of my movies that he had," says Valentine who claims that Stein also signed a form claiming he owned the movies.
"I produced 2257's to Adult Rental and Arnold said, oh, it was a mistake and he e-mailed them as well," Valentine continued. "Arnold did this to me; he did it to AMA; he did it to Jekyll & Hyde; he did it to Joe Frost. Fuck this. Arnold's now sending my titles out of the country. I know the numbers of what I made on a one year-old title."
By Valentine's calculations, he's figuring that Stein owes him "a couple of G's."
