Porn Valley- A Reseda-based adult filmmaker and a Hungarian woman who allegedly entered into a sham marriage to circumvent federal immigration laws pleaded not guilty Monday to visa fraud and perjury charges.

David Allen Crawford, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen known in the adult film industry as David Lord, and Agnes Jeges, 35, of Van Nuys, entered their pleas before U.S. Magistrate Judge Carla Woehrle, who set a Sept. 16 trial date.

The duo's alleged violations came to light during an investigation into a scheme involving Hungarian women hired to work as prostitutes at a Sherman Oaks brothel, authorities said.

Prosecutors allege that Crawford and Jeges entered into a sham marriage to enable her to stay in the United States.

On Jeges' application for permanent resident status, commonly known as a "green card," the two lied when they said they lived together and that Jeges had never engaged in prostitution, court papers allege.

Jeges, who is now in federal custody, allegedly worked as a prostitute for Angela Csutai, 33, of Van Nuys, who is accused of running a prostitution ring from a Sherman Oaks apartment from 2004 to 2006.

Csutai, who pleaded not guilty on July 7 to perjury and visa fraud charges, also is suspected of entering into a sham marriage with a U.S. citizen to get a green card. Her trial date is set for Aug. 26.

Crawford is free on bond.
