Married men, copious amounts of Internet porn and cheating on your wife. Does one ever really come without the other two? In David Duchovy’s case, perhaps not.
After going public, sort of, about his long-rumored battle with sex addiction, it was revealed that Duchovy’s primary sexual vice is online porn, not fooling around on his wife, actress Tea Leoni.
But speculation that Duchovy’s voracious sexual appetite couldn’t possibly be satisfied by Internet porn alone has started to pick-up and reports from the National Enquirer and US Weekly aren’t helping.
Duchovy has voluntarily, (luckily they didn’t have to pry him away from the computer by force) entered the Meadows treatment facility in Wickenburg, Arizona and enrolled in a 35-day program to deal with his addiction. But according to the National Enquirer, the 48-year old star didn’t have much of a choice if he wanted to save his marriage.
Says the Enquirer’s source, Leoni “finally caught him (cheating) and issued an “ultimatum.” “At first, Duchovny tried to lie his way out of trouble, but eventually was overwhelmed with guilt and confessed.”
Meanwhile, US Weekly is reporting that David Duchovy has a “history of indiscretions” and even became involved with an extra on the set of his show, “Californication.” You know, the one where he plays a sex addicted writer?
While Duchovny is seeking treatment, Tea Leoni is attempting to stay out of the spotlight, which is kinda hard to do when your new film is about to premiere. The actress won’t be attending the “Ghost Town” premiere.
While she may be choosing to spend the time supporting Duchovny, who she’s already visited in rehab, Leoni probably just wants to be out of the public eye for the time being.
Right now may not be the best time to have a mic shoved in your face.
