TURIN, Italy-If kinky sex were an Olympic sport, Manya the porn star says she'd lick even the biggest athletes.
"I'd take them on two or three at a time," she said, emphasizing the double entendre with a squeeze of her breasts.
"But they'd have to change the law first," she cooed. Manya and her flimsy pink underwear, which she didn't keep on for very long, were part of the main attractions at yesterday's opening of the International Erotic Fair, special Olympic edition.
"We thought we'd add a little spicy fun to the Olympics. They're a bit too serious, don't you think?" said Luca Pasquaretta, the fair's spokesperson.
Turin's municipal authorities begged to differ. They tried to prevent the fair from being held during the Olympics by threatening to withhold permits, but fair organizers persevered.
"We're providing an extra attraction for the tourists. They can watch the Games and then come and relax with some beautiful Italian women. Where's the harm in that?" asked Pasquaretta.
"People think Italy is really open when it comes to sex, but it's not. It's got a long way to go," he added.
The first erotic fair, held last year in Milan, attracted 18,000 visitors during its three-day run. With tens of thousands of tourists expected for the Olympics, fair organizers are hoping for a huge increase this time around.
Asked if organizers gave the exhibit a sporting flair in honour of the Games, Pasquaretta pointed to a sign that announced an "oil competition." Underneath was a swimming pool where women would soon be wrestling in olive oil.
Like the Olympics, there's also an international component to the fair, Pasquaretta added.
"We brought in a busload of dancers from the Czech Republic," he said.
The fair is a hardcore spectacle.
A giant screen and a dozen smaller ones showed porn videos that left nothing to the imagination, a large stage was being prepared for live sex shows, private booths were available for more personal entertainment and scantily clad women flirted with the exclusively male crowd while posing for pictures.
Kiosks around the exhibition hall displayed the usual collection of sexual paraphernalia, porn videos and DVDs.
"I would also love to see the Olympics, but this is cheaper and just as much fun," said Turin resident, Luca Barbareschi, 39.
