Los Angeles, CA - The first annual F.A.M.E. AWARDS, which were held Saturday, June 24, 2006 at the Erotica LA Show in the Los Angeles Convention Center, will be broadcast on Playboy Radio on Sirius Satellite Radio (channel 198) on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 9:30 p.m. EST (6:30 p.m. PST), with a replay on Saturday, July 1st at the same time.
The F.A.M.E. (Fans of Adult Media and Entertainment) Awards, were hosted by Adam & Eve Contract Star Carmen Luvana and XXX industry favorite Tommy Gunn, and emceed by comedian and host of the Sirius show "Miserable Men," the Reverend Bob Levy, who entertained the crowd with his unique brand of comedy. The show featured the biggest names adult movies such as Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick, Jesse Jane, Taylor Wane, Stormy Daniels, Ron Jeremy, Jenna Haze and more.
This historical event was sponsored by industry leaders AVN, Adam & Eve, Genesis magazine and Wantedlist.com, and was attended by a standing room only crowd. It is the first ever truly interactive award show - where the winners are chosen exclusively by the fans who casted an astonishing tens of thousands of votes... and plans are currently underway to create a bigger show next year.
"I was amazed by the turnout - both in votes and in audience numbers," says host Carmen Luvana. "There was such excitement built around the awards, and I was thrilled to be a part of this history."
"This was our first time participating in something like this," Katy Zvolerin, P.R. Director for Adam & Eve said. "The votes were tallied at the last minute, we had to pull presenters away from their fans... but it ran like clockwork."
