from www.nbcmiami.com - The family of an aspiring model found murdered in Miami six months ago is still searching for answers in her tragic death.

The mother, sister and boyfriend of Paula Sladewski appeared on the "Today Show" Tuesday morning, where they voiced their frustrations over the lack of an arrest in the case.

"It's been very frustrating because there's no new information, the police just tell us they're still following leads and that's as much information as they give us," sister Kelly Faris said. "I'm sure that they want to find who did this and they want to solve this case."

Sladewski, 26, was in town from California for New Year's with her boyfriend, Kevin Klym, and the two partied at Club Space into the early hours of Sunday, Jan. 3.

After an argument between the two, Klym was kicked out of the club, leaving Sladewski to fend for herself. She left the club about 20 minutes later, but was never seen alive again. Her body was found later that day, 12 miles from the club in a trash bin in an alley on Northeast 130th Street near Archer Road.

The murder has garnered national attention, even appearing on an episode of "America's Most Wanted."

The family has hired a local lawyer, Robert Boyers, to investigate the murder. He said the club should have known better than to let Sladewski leave on her own.

"They essentially threw her to the wolves in an area that was a magnet for criminal activity," said Boyers.

The club has said they did nothing wrong and have cooperated with police. Space has even offered a $15,000 reward for information that will help crack the case.

Boyers said he has reached out to the detectives investigating Sladewski's murder, but that he's been given little information.

"There can be reasons not to disclose certain sources or to jeopardize certain witnesses but at the same token, it would be nice to have a little bit more of a response," he said.

A sketch of the suspect was released by police, and police say they're still investigating.

"There is most definitely a killer out there," said Lt. Neal Cuevas, with the North Miami Police Department. "We don't know where the actual murder occurred and since we don't have that location, we have very little physical evidence to go with."

Klym, who had been criticized by Sladewski's family in the days after her murder for leaving her at the club, said he's still haunted by it.

"It's a nightmare, it just doesn't end," Klym said. "I want answers, I want to know what happened to her that night, I want to know why this happened and just...there's nothing."

Mother Patsy Watkins said she still can't believe her daughter, who had dreams of modeling and even appeared in a Playboy video once, is gone.

"She was my baby, she was a beautiful, beautiful woman," she said. "She loved living, she loved traveling, she loved modeling, she loved life, now she's gone."
