FBI Activity at Sunshine Films

Knowledgeable sources indicate that the FBI is currently on the premises of Sunshine Films, engaged in a search for 2257 records. The focus of this search is reportedly records associated with All-Good Video. All-Good Video has not released new product in several years, and Sunshine Films acquired the company some time ago. This operation at Sunshine Films represents the fourth instance of a 2257 records search conducted by the government in the last three weeks.

Previous FBI Operations and Investigations

The FBI has been involved in several notable operations and investigations recently. On February 2, 2021, a shootout occurred in Sunrise, Florida, involving FBI agents and David Lee Huber. The agents were serving a warrant on Huber related to a child pornography case at an apartment complex in Sunrise, 11 miles outside of Fort Lauderdale. The incident, which began at 6:04 a.m., resulted in the fatal shooting of two FBI agents and injuries to three others. Huber was later found dead after barricading himself inside the apartment. The agents were seeking a computer and other evidence for the case and were supported by officers from the Sunrise Police Department. Huber reportedly began firing at the agents with a rifle after seeing them through a doorbell camera. This event was described as one of the deadliest in the FBI's history.

In a separate investigation, the FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Josephine “Sunshine” Overaker. Overaker has been a fugitive for over 20 years and is the last remaining individual sought by the FBI in connection with a group of eco-terrorists known as the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) and the Animal Liberation Front (ALF). Between 1995 and 2001, these groups were responsible for crimes including fire bombings, resulting in $48 million in damages. Their actions included torching a slaughterhouse, logging trucks, a car dealership, ranger stations, and a government lab. The most destructive act of eco-sabotage in U.S. history was a pre-dawn attack at the Vail ski resort in Colorado. Recent FBI Search Warrants

The FBI also filed two search warrants on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in connection with the death of a passenger aboard the Carnival Cruise Sunshine. The cruise ship departed Charleston, S.C., on February 27 and returned on March 4. FBI spokesperson Kevin Wheeler confirmed that both search warrants are related to the death. One warrant was filed to search the room where a woman was found unresponsive on the Carnival Cruise Sunshine, and the other was to search a Volkswagen Jetta with North Carolina plates, both on the basis of evidence of a crime. Authorities applied for the search warrant on March 3.

The woman was found unresponsive in her room last week, and crew members attempted life-saving measures, but she was pronounced dead on the ship. Carnival Cruise Line issued a statement on Tuesday, March 7, indicating that all indications pertaining to the woman’s death suggested it was due to natural causes from a medical condition. The cruise line stated that their initial emergency medical response was appropriate and that they would defer to the FBI on specific details. The decedent and her husband debarked in Nassau before the ship returned to Charleston.
