DEL MAR, Calif. -- Pacificap Entertainment Holdings, Inc., www.pacificapentertainment.com is pleased to announce that its feature-length documentary American Cannibal: The Road to Reality, has been officially selected to premiere in competition at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.

The early nod was given by Tribeca when the festival learned that both the South by Southwest festival and the Florida International Film Festival were also vying for the film's premiere.

Ed Litwak, President, stated, "Being able to get into the Tribeca Film Festival in April will definitely be a positive step in achieving revenue in the second quarter of 2006. We are very excited about this film and expect it to be a box office success."

American Cannibal examines the juggernaut of reality TV and its effects on programming and audiences, and has sparked extraordinary controversy for its exposure of the more lurid aspects of reality-based entertainment. In addition to interviews with network executives, TV producers and psychologists, the film documents the ill-fated production of The Ultimate, Ultimate Challenge, a Survivor-like reality show produced by Kevin Blatt, promoter of the Paris Hilton sex tape.

American Cannibal: The Road to Reality is directed by Perry Grebin and Michael Nigro, who are also producing the film with Denis Jensen under their company banner Acme Pictures, and Gill Holland of LasalleHolland.

Back story July 14, 2005: Today, the San Francisco-based internet company, Yelp (www.yelp.com) pulled their sponsorship from 'the Ultimate, Ultimate Challenge', a new 'extreme' reality show being produced by Kevin Blatt, distributor of the Paris Hilton sex tapes and, more recently, the Colin Farrell Sex Tape. Yelp has refused to elaborate on the exact reason for severing ties with the production but in a statement delivered Wednesday evening said that the affiliation with the production company is not a good fit for the start-up.
