Brian has this to say: By 11:00 PM last night, porns latest excuse to drink and say "HI" looked like a Saturday afternoon at the AEE convention in Vegas. The place was that packed with people. I can't imagine the chaos that would have taken place had the organizers attempted this at their original venue. The event was eventually held at the Highlands nightclub in Hollywood. I say eventually because originally it was to be held at club XES but was switched on Thursday due to concerns about capacity. Location #2 was to be the Henry Fonda Theater. This location was scrapped because of some not so subtle threats from the local vice squad. Not sure how the concerns of the police were appeased over at the Highlands but evidently some deal was struck. Club XES and the Henry Fonda Theater no doubt saw a spike in business from party seekers that didn't receive the memos. Event organizer Jeff told me of a meeting earlier in the day between himself, management of the Henry Fonda Theater, and Hollywood Vice. Jeff was told that he was free to have his event wherever he chose. The club, however, was told that if they allowed this party, the police would ensure that they never hosted another party EVER. It was at this time that the club decided that Fleiss and company should seek entertainment elsewhere. Hearing of the police involvement, I can only assume that this is the reason why Heidi Fleiss was still a no-show at 1:00 AM when I left. That woman has had enough interaction with Hollywood vice for this lifetime I think. As for the party itself, from my perspective the organizers delivered everything they advertised. This was the "MOTHERFUCKER OF ALL PORN PARTIES". The line for entrance moved quickly and talent was quickly shown to the packed VIP area. I'm sure that the Highlands wishes they had staffed more bartenders and waitresses but I don't think anyone could have anticipated the onslaught of patrons we saw last night. Anyone who has spent any amount of time at all in nightclubs couldn't help but notice that plain-clothed police officers were also out in force. To my knowledge, there wasn't a single incident the entire evening. Everyone partied hard and played nice. Makes you wonder what all the fuss was huh? Rather than typing a five page list of all the industry folk seen mixing and mingling, let me just say this. Jenna Jameson, Jill Kelley, Belladonna, and the Vivid girls WEREN'T there. The rest of porn enjoyed the party. I guarantee that there will be more than one pissed off director this morning because talent is late or no-shows for scenes to nurse a hangover.
