Rockingham County, NC — Rockingham County’s Sheriff says two residents from a golf course community face prostitution related charges.

Elaine Casey Tipton, 42, is charged with solicitation for prostitution. Both her and her husband, William Harvey Tipton, 43, are being charged with maintaining a dwelling for prostitution.

Mrs. Tipton has posed for Penthouse magazine, been an Adult XXX film star and is currently featured on an escort website under the name ‘Deverie’.

The couple was caught as part of an undercover operation conducted by the Greensboro Police and Rockingham Sheriff Vice Officers. An undercover officer was given an appointment for Tuesday, August 12. He entered Tiptons’ home and followed specific instructions that included the exchange of money for sex.

“I just can’t imagine it. I mean? they just seemed like such good parents and sweetest little girl, very friendly,” says Carolyn Asher, who lives across the street. She bought Girl Scout cookies from the Tiptons’ daughter.

Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page says so far he knows of no child pornography linked to the case. He said he notified the county’s department of social services, but would not say whether they removed Tipton’s daughter from her parents’ care.

Investigators are still examining adult material “computers, video, certain documentation, written documentation? was received? books, photos,”says Sheriff Page.

The Tiptons are residents of the Greensboro National Golf Course in Summerfield. The neighborhood has homes typically selling in the $1 million range.
