Las Vegas- A former Senior Las Vegas Police Crime Scene Analyst has been indicted on Federal Child Pornography charges.
An arrest warrant was issued for 55-year-old Daniel Robert Peterson of Las Vegas.
He's charged with three counts of transporting child pornography, one count of receipt of child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography.
If found guilty of all charges, he could face 30 years in prison and more than $1 million in fines.
Peterson resigned from the department a month ago after almost 15 years on the job.
U.S. Attorney for Nevada Daniel Bogden says the charges stem from allegations that Peterson obtained images of child pornography between last February and September.
An appearance date has yet to be set before a United States Magistrate Judge.
