Australia- [www.geelongadvertiser.com.au]- ACCLAIMED adult film industry starlet Stoya lit up a cigarette in Moorabool St yesterday and said she didn’t like trying to describe herself.

“I hate that question, it’s like boil yourself down into the most marketable two words possible and I don’t like that,” she said, fresh out from Philadelphia.

“If you really want to get a feel for what Stoya is you need to watch one of my scenes not listen to me talk.”

For the record, marketing bills Stoya, 22, as original, outrageous, all-natural and a rare combination of book and street smarts.

She cruised through town yesterday on her way to spend the weekend in Lorne at Adultex, the southern hemisphere’s largest adult film industry trade conference.

Organisers have brought the conference back to Lorne and a confidential venue after having visited a few years ago.

Stoya’s brief visit to Geelong included an interview with K-Rock breakfast host Matt Bern and his offsider Paul ‘Chicken’ Dyer. She told them she had worn braces on her teeth at 13 and a brace on her back for childhood scoliosis but now had the best job in the world.

Stoya will be one of several adult film stars at the invitation-only Adultex, mingling with film wholesalers and business people.

Calvista media co-ordinator Seymour Batt said the conference would showcase latest products. “It’s all about networking and forward planning for what we’re hoping to bring to the adult industry here in Australia and New Zealand,” Mr Batt said.

The conference will run from tomorrow to Sunday.
