from www.wbtv.com - A man says he lost hundreds of dollars after he was scammed by a promise to meet a celebrity porn star.

The 62-year-old man told WBTV.com he was contacted via Instant Messaging by a woman posing as a porn star who identified herself "Taylor Vixen."

The woman told the man if he wired $300, she would arrange for the two of them to meet at the Omni Hotel in Charlotte.

The man ended up wiring $600 to the Philippines.

He never met the porn star and the money wasn't returned.

Vixen is a real adult star and debuted in the adult film industry in March 2009 and her appearance in Penthouse magazine's 40th anniversary edition in the same year launched her career into a more expansive market. She is the 2010 Penthouse Pet of the Year.

The scammed man told WBTV.com he filed reports with the CMPD, the FBI and a website that tracks web scams. He says he hopes no one else falls for this scam.
