(LOS ANGELES, CA) — Kobe Bryant’s family and friends think his wife, Vanessa, is a gold digger who is only standing by him so she won’t lose her share of the money, reports the popular tabloid, the Star.
Sources say Vanessa has spent a fortune on jewelry, cars and furs since marrying the Los Angeles Lakers star, who is facing sexual-assault charges after a extramarital adventure gone bad just outside of Denver, Colorado recently.

“She [Vanessa] would often try to enlist other Laker wives to run errands for her and pick up clothes she ordered,” says one.
