New York- Homelessness looks good on Al Goldstein. Looking thinner and considerably more handsome, the former Screw publisher was on Howard Stern Monday talking about his new job selling catering. Here’s the Adultfyi version of the Goldstein visit. https://adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=7381
Here’s the www.howardstern.com take: The great Al Goldstein – creator of the now defunct Screw Magazine – came in today to talk about how bad his life has gotten. He was once worth millions, but now says he’s penniless and living in a homeless shelter. He did lose a lot of weight though and both Howard and Robin thought he looked good. Al didn’t get into great detail about how he lost his fortune, but he did say that he was mad at some of his so-called friends who were not helping him out. He specifically mentioned his son who no longer acknowledges him, despite the fact that Al put him through Georgetown, Oxford and Harvard. Howard told Al he couldn’t blame his kid for his problems and said Al’s kid probably has other reasons for not talking to him. Al went on to describe how he has to carry all his belongings with him and has to sign up for a bed at the homeless shelter every day between 8:00 – 8:30 PM or else he loses it. He said that’s caused him to spend several nights sleeping in the Park. Al joked; he’s so bad off that another homeless guy gave him $5. Even Gilbert Gottfried said he might loan him $20! Al is currently working as a greeter at New York City Bagels and is also available for personal appearances. Howard said he felt really bad for Al.
