NY- Maybe they should have called him the Dapper Don Juan.
A mob snitch stunned a Manhattan courtroom yesterday with the charge that Gambino family man John Gotti [pictured] fathered a love child with a mystery mistress.
Michael (Mikey Scars) DiLeonardo testified that the late mob boss' son - who is on trial - told him about the philandering.
"His father had a secret second family and a daughter he fathered out of wedlock," DiLeonardo said on the stand in Manhattan Federal Court.
The sordid claim drew gasps of shock and indignation from the senior Gotti's daughter, Angel, who was sitting in the courtroom gallery with her mother, Victoria. "Oh, boy. Oh, boy," she said as the widow shook her head.
There have long been rumors Gotti had affairs - he was linked to reality TV star Lisa Gastineau, the ex-wife of former Jet Mark Gastineau, in the 1980s - but the government has never aired such dirty laundry in court.
In the face of the new tactic, Victoria Gotti stood by her man, who died of cancer in prison in 2002, scoffing that he couldn't have kept a goumada and little girl hidden. "John Gotti must have been the most surveilled man in this country," she said.
"Does anybody think they would not have used that against him to embarrass him at their trials? Does anybody really believe he could have pulled something like that off?"
Sarcastically, she added, "If anybody finds this other family, we could use some cash."
DiLeonardo didn't speak ill only of the dead - he also testified that John A. (Junior) Gotti inherited his dad's cheating heart.
For DiLeonardo's 40th birthday a decade ago, then-best-buddy Junior Gotti rented a 100-foot yacht for a cruise to nowhere off Battery Park City. He and Junior, both married at the time, were joined by their "girlfriends," he said.
Junior Gotti squired a girl from Howard Beach named Mindy, a childhood friend of his wife, Kim, the pregnant mother of his five children, DiLeonardo said. "Kim knew Mindy," he said. "John had told me that they grew up together."
The younger Gotti, who is on trial for kidnapping after his first case ended with a hung jury, was clearly riled by his ex-pal's dirt-dishing - and called the stories "ridiculous."
"That's what 10 South does to a man," Junior said, referring to the solitary confinement wing of the federal lockup in Manhattan, where DiLeonardo decided to sing after months in a freezing cell.
Later, a calmer Junior said he dated Mindy in the 1970s and '80s but that the romance was over when he married in '90.
"He's throwing out names from the '80s," Junior said.
Junior is fending off racketeering charges that include claims that he ordered two thugs to ambush radio host Curtis Sliwa in 1992 after the Guardian Angels founder made nasty on-air comments about his dad. Sliwa will testify Monday.
During three days of testimony, DiLeonardo linked Junior to the attack and said he remained a ranking member of the Gambino family even after a 1999 racketeering conviction.
It was Junior's own attorney, Charles Carnesi, who opened the door for DiLeonardo's most surprising allegations during his last day on the stand.
During cross-examination Thursday, the lawyer suggested the two men had a falling-out in 1997 because Junior was disturbed by DiLeonardo's womanizing.
DiLeonardo fathered a son with a girlfriend, invited two dozen friends to the boy's baptism and bought the woman a Staten Island home 7 miles from the one he shared with his wife and teenage son.
But DiLeonardo countered that whenever he was on the prowl, Junior Gotti was at his side. "He was with me every night," he said.
