CANOGA PARK, CA — Director ERICA McLEAN, famed for having helmed Hustler’s “Barely Legal” series for the past four years, is proud to announce the pending release of her first stand alone feature film, “Hardcore Circus XXX,” hitting the streets June 16th from LFP Distribution.
This marks the first release from McLEAN’s newly formed production company, Cheeky Monkey, and the trailer alone denotes a surprisingly darker direction for the acclaimed directrix. “Of course,” McLEAN admits with a wry smile. “It’s much darker than my ‘Barely Legal’ series. These are wild, artistic and sexually intense scenes. That seems where I’m headed with the company, really. I’ve got some great ideas brewing for future projects. It’s a very, very exciting time for me!”
The box cover of “Hardcore Circus XXX” pays homage to the circuses of the past while combining the eroticism and flash from circuses of the present. For her feature directorial debut, McLEAN found inspiration in everything old and new, borrowing heavily from the imagery of silent film classics like “Under The Big Top” and FRANCIS LAWRENCE’s conceived and directed “Circus” music video for pop music icon BRITNEY SPEARS. “Hardcore Circus XXX” follows ERICA McLEAN herself on a twisted, erotic dream induced journey filled with Bohemian prophecy and sexual explorations. Packed with an all-star cast and elaborate costumes, “Hardcore Circus XXX” is an epic feature that taps into a more edgy and artistic side of the adult entertainment genre.
