After he created a major tempest in a teapot in the industry this week, Robert Field posts on www.pornstarperformance.com: "Recently I wrote you and others about a claim AJ was using fake HIV tests. AJ called me today and totally denied it and stated he has the paperwork to prove it and he is prepared to deal with AIM or anyone else as to each and every test.
He states he suspects this arises out of a money issue. I then talked to the girl who made the remarks to me and she stated what she told me was a mistake and that it was not true. She has said to me she should not have said it and that it is not true. She said she was just talking and knows it is not true and is embarrassed. I have not told AJ who she is and he does not know who she is, so he has not talked to her to influence her. I apologize for the scare but at the time it sounded real to me."
Gene sez I talked to AJ aka Soul Brother Mike [SBM] and he gives me a variation on the story. He tells me he's not a performer, that he's an agent, and he tells me that he knows this girl but is not willing to divulge her name. So right away I'm smelling bullshit from somebody.
"This story is totally false," says SBM. I ask SBM about Robert Field and would he have an axe to grind. "I was a couple of times late with girls," says SBM who at this point is going a mile a minute in his replay of events. SBM is explaining that Field is a producer located in Pacoima.
"The reason why I was late is that 80% of porn is shot in the Valley," states SBM. "But Field shoots at a studio in Pacoima. I would send him girls back and forth. No problem. They would be on time. A couple of times girls didn't show up. You don't show up, the producer loses money. A couple of times girls showed up late and he was, I'm fine. We stopped dealing with each other, I would say, about nine months ago. That's the only reason we stopped dealing with each other. That's it. Basically I guess he must have shot a girl that probably dealt with me- girls go off to other agents. I guess this girl told him something about fake HIV tests or something like that. I would never, ever do anything like that. Number two, this girl is known. She's known for having an attitude. No one wants to bother with this girl."
This being said, I ask SBM who the girl is. "I can't even name a name," he states. "I don't even want to take it there." I tell SBM that's his privilege but that it's his name that's being dragged into the mud.
"The girl is known, she's got a mouth on her," SBM goes on to say. "With me I wouldn't make false accusations about someone. That person might come looking for you. You don't know who's sitting around with two or three homeboys with baseball bats. Next time they might see you in person. All I'm saying is that I don't want to go naming names. All I'm telling you as a black man is that I wouldn't do anything like that. And this girl already has a reputation. No one wants her on a set. She gets to a set and wants to tell the director how much dick she's going to suck and what she wants to do. She's been kicked off sets. She might go to a set expecting to make $800 for a boy-girl, and then five minutes later it's come get your girl. We gave her a kill fee for $150. We can't deal with her attitude. The girl is known for making false accusations. You say something like this about me, you're messing with my livelihood."
I ask SM if he's an agent, why is she dragging his name in about phonying up HIV tests. "Are you performer, also?" I ask SBM.
"No sir" he replies. "I'm just an agent. This is what I'm thinking. Girls will spread false lies about agents and how they take girls' money. He doesn't give her all the money or that he short changes girls. Sometimes a girl is bitter because you're not dealing with them any longer and at that point no one wants to deal with them because of their attitude. It all adds up. I think this is what it is. This girl knows no phone calls are coming and she's just bitter. Believe me, this girl is like that. Some people are just evil like that. They don't care who they hurt. They have no sympathy or empathy. They're going to say what they're going to say because at that moment they don't have any money. They don't have any longevity like the guys. Girls come and go. I know that's the way it is and I can't change that. But believe me. I would never do anything like that." According to SBM, he was the woman's agent for a period of about three months. "When I got her, I met her on another set. She was already through two or three other agents. She's a girl you call a renegade. She bounces around to the highest money."
SBM tells me he's been an agent about three years that he met someone during the making of a music video. "His name was Ed, he goes you know a lot of girls. He goes I get girls in porn. I say for real? Up in the Valley- Chatsworth, Woodland Hills, man you can make some money. I go really what do you have to do. He says you've got to get the right girls, make sure they're 18 or over. Make sure they got their proper identification and I can introduce you to people. About a week after that he introduced me to one producer, then from there I started bringing him girls."
