from www.nydailynews.com – A Staten Island Catholic school teacher accused of having sexual contact with a student waltzed out of court without bail Thursday, as her lawyer insisted the charges were bogus.

Danielle Johnsen’s alleged relationship with the 16-year-old high school sophomore came to light after she broke the young girl’s heart, law enforcement sources said.

But a lawyer for the 29-year-old science teacher at the all-girls Notre Dame Academy in Grymes Hill said the schoolgirl invented the tawdry tale.

“There is absolutely no truth to the allegations,” argued Johnsen’s lawyer, Leo Duval, according to the Staten Island Advance.

“It is very clear to me that [the girl] has made up this entire story,” he added.

Duval vowed to investigate the teen’s claims.

Johnsen, who has taught at the private school for three years, was charged with one count of third-degree sexual abuse and three counts of acting in a manner injurious to a child, said a spokesman for Staten Island District Attorney Daniel Donovan Jr.

The charges stem from three makeout sessions Johnsen allegedly had with the student earlier this year, law enforcement sources said. Two of them took place in Johnsen’s car, they said, and the third happened at the teacher’s home in Port Richmond.

During the rendezvous at Johnsen’s home, the teacher romanced the girl while they watched a movie, the sources said.

Johnsen used her hand to perform a sex act on the teen, the sources added.

Johnsen got cold feet at one point and broke things off with the girl, the sources said.

The student was crushed and grew depressed. She then blogged about it on the social networking site Tumblr.

The girl’s friends later read the blog posts and told a guidance counselor earlier this month, the sources said.

“When there were allegations, I turned this over to the district attorney because the safety and well-being of our young women is my primary concern,” the school’s president, Sister Patricia Corley, told the Daily News.
