from www.knoxnews.com – A Greenback teacher suspected of sending inappropriate Facebook messages to a male student faces charges, according to a joint release from the Blount County and Loudon County sheriff’s offices.

Angela Gaye Masingo, 39, of Lenoir City, is charged with solicitation of aggravated statutory rape and solicitation of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to the release. She is being held in the Blount County Detention Facility on bonds totaling $80,000 pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court on Friday.

Over the past few days, the Blount County Sheriff’s Office Hi-tech Evidence and Technology (HEAT) Unit along with the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office, as part of the Internet crimes Against Children Tennessee Task Force (ICAC), worked a joint investigation on Masingo, the release states, adding that it was discovered Masingo was sending messages by way of Facebook to a male student at another high school and Friday morning Masingo was taken into custody.
