Financier J.P. Lipson aka “The Pig Farmer” almost owned New Frontier Media, although New Frontier Media had other ideas for Lipson’s money. That contentious battle ended in the courts and Lipson was eventually awarded $800,000. www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=29477
Lipson was so called “The Pig Farmer” because he made a lot of his money in the meat industry. Lipson, 51, unfortunately met a bad end in March of 2008 when his Russian bride Eleonora Igova allegedly pumped several shots into him with a handgun. The murder occurred inside Lipson’s home in the 9900 block of Durant Drive in Beverly Hills.
Upon arrival, police officers conducted a search at the home and one officer saw a woman walking to her car near Santa Monica Boulevard and detained her for questioning.
Igova, 30, a white woman and Lipson’s wife, was arrested on suspicion of murder. Her trial this month was neither reported on by the LA Times or the LA Daily News. The Times which is going out of business is devoted to pages of drivel about Wagnerian opera festivals, neglecting the essential news, while the Daily News which is also hearing the death rattle, is short on reporters with most of its executives getting plowed at Maggiano’s.
Nonetheless, Igova’s trial apparently ended in a hung jury ala the first Phil Spector case. From what I’m being told, the District Attorney has seven days to file for a new trial. If there is a new trial it will probably be months away.
