MIAMI, FL – Mike Imber of Icey Porn responded to AdultFYI.com today in regards to Steve Seidman’s allegations that he never received his ‘talent scout’ commissions and expense monies for services performed.
Gene Ross wrote a story on AdultFYI recently in regards to the situation between the two parties. Read that feature here. We tried to get a response from Imber at the time but because he was out of town, he wasn’t able to give us his side of the story until today.
“I told Steve, having a gripe is one thing,” said Imber, “but to bring things up the way he did, it didn’t need to come to that. Steve’s a good friend of mine, I have nothing bad to say about him, but bringing up these issues are inappropriate.”
Seidman claims Imber hired him to get new girls for his company of three years, Icey Porn, the same company most famous for starting the Cum Fiesta series.
Imber said, “When we first started working with Steve, the original concept was to shoot at the Ranch [Bunny Ranch]. I didn’t want him to leave his job, it just worked out that he was ready for a change.” The duo had a lot of plans together, including forming a full on talent agency. “We decided not to start the talent agency,” Imber said, “but we pay a good referral fee so we get good girls.”
The conversation continued:
Wayne – Steve claimed that you owe him $3000.00 in expense money and $1000.00 in commissions.
Mike – Steve invoiced us twice for expenses. $2700.00 both times. The first time we paid it gladly, but he came back with no results. On his second trip out scouting, he came back empty handed again and invoiced us for another $2700.00. I can’t pay strip club expenses for six nights a week with no results. The first trip I didn’t have a problem, but the second time, that’s like six grand for no girls. That’s a lot of money to pay for nothing.
Wayne – You offered a $500 finders fee for girls but Seidman says a few girls he found, paid less money.
Mike – He got paid less because the girls wouldn’t do hardcore. I paid them a fair rate for softcore and girl/girl scenes. That’s all they would do.
Wayne – What about his expenses?
Mike – He’s been flying all around the country on me. I paid for all of his trips. He went to Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa Bay, everywhere, I bought all those plane tickets. For that kind of money I was spending, I want results. Ideally, I’d like two new girls a week.
Wayne – One of the things Gene covered in the last AdultFYI story on this subject was a recent shoot with Cytherea. Supposedly she showed up on set and was told to go home because of technical problems and a late running crew. Later we were told she was sent home because she wasn’t attractive enough.
Mike – No no no. Our guys were gonna be late and I didn’t want her to have to wait around. I asked to re-book her but her manager said she was booked for the next couple of weeks. We gave her a couple of dollars for gas money and her troubles and wanted to make it up to her. If we didn’t think she was attractive, why would we ask to re-use her on the coming Monday? Ya know, we deal with talent all the time. 95% of the time, we have no problems. This was a rough day. Velvet Rose. When we knew we were having problems, we called her early. She was suppose to be on set at 11am. I called her at 10:15am and told her that we were having crew problems and that we’d have to move the shoot back a few hours. She said if the shoot was pushed back she couldn’t do it. So she didn’t show.
Wayne – Aside from the crew problems, is there any truth to you finding Cytherea unattractive?
Mike – No, that’s how her manager took it. She was cute, it was cool. I was the one there, I was on set when she got there. I told her the truth and wanted to make it up to her a couple of days later. She was great, we would’ve shot her.
Wayne – Is there anything else you’d like to add at this time?
Mike – I don’t want people [girls] thinking they can’t deal with us. We’re a good company, that’s it. That’s it.
