The New York Post writes: PORN is about to inch further into the mainstream with an upcoming documentary about “Deep Throat.” Universal is releasing “Inside Deep Throat,” a documentary about the legendary 1972 picture’s “social impact” and “cultural legacy,” in February, www.xxxdeepthroat.com
The flick, premiering at Sundance next month, features commentary from the likes of Erica Jong, Gore Vidal and Norman Mailer. It’s the latest in a recent wave of mainstream porn phenomena, including Timothy Greenfield-Sanders book of XXX star portraits and Jenna Jameson’s best-seller, “How to Make Love Like a Porn Star.”
Gene adds: With the fact that Inside Deep Throat, the Hollywood documentary about a movie about cocksucking, premiers next month at The Sundance Film Festival, much will be said and written about the project in the next few weeks.
But curiosity begs the question whether Hugh Hefner will ever be interviewed about a butt fucking episode that Linda Lovelace, the star of Deep Throat, www.xxxdeepthroat.com alludes to in her autobiography, Ordeal. Lovelace talks about how her pimp Chuck Traynor wanted her in the worst way to gain entry to the Hefner inner circle. From the way it sounds, though, it was Hefner who gained entry to Lovelace’s inner circle. Lovelace talks about being invited to the Playboy Mansion in California and how Traynor pushed her physically on Hefner. Lovelace describes a scene in the Jacuzzi where Hefner is oiling naked female bodies with great elan.
“I could tell that Hefner had mixed feelings about me,” says Lovelace. “He definitely wanted me there in the Jacuzzi but he didn’t seem to want anything to come down between the two of us. I think many men had trouble with the fact that I was the star of Deep Throat; they saw the size of the men in the movie and that tended to make them self-conscious. I would say that Hefner had a definite inhibition. At any rate he was in no rush to get to me.”
According to Lovelace, Hefner first pushed her off on another woman at the Jacuzzi gathering. “Why don’t you go over to Lila?” he said to her. Lovelace writes that she and Lila, who looked like a high school girl, started putting on a show for Hefner which apparently prompted a circle of onlookers to form.
“It reminded me of those old Fred Astaire movies where all the other dancers suddenly stopped what they were doing and formed a circle around Fred and ginger.”
Lovelace then states that Traynor went on to fist her. “One of the other men held my body out of the water while Chuck did that to me. Then Lila took over for Chuck, doing the same thing with her fist…
“Hefner finally got himself aroused enough to approach me,” she writes. “I think he realized that Chuck would give him no peace unless he did something, so he came up behind me and entered me in the backside. That was his big thrill and chill and that was that. When he finished, Hefner disappeared and Chuck and I left soon after that.”
But Lovelace doesn’t end it there with that episode. “He [Traynor] was going to show him [Hefner] a real live woman making love to a real live dog.”
