WWW- KOCH Records has announced the long-awaited release of the soundtrack to documentary “Inside Deep Throat” on December 13th, 2005.
Generally considered the most profitable motion picture of all time, www.xxxdeepthroat.com the 1972 adult film “Deep Throat” was more than a titillating curiosity and a huge moneymaker. It was a cultural watershed.
Narrated by Dennis Hopper, “Inside Deep Throat” sorts through some 800 hours of interview and file footage from the celebrities, legal entanglements, Moral Majority crusades and civil liberty battles that the film created in its wake.
This well-publicized documentary from producer Brian Grazer of Imagine Entertainment and Shelia Nevins of HBO Documentary opened in select cities during February 2005 and rolled out to art houses nationwide throughout March & April.
The “Inside Deep Throat” soundtrack features an excellent, booty shaking collection of seventies hits including Kool & The Gang, Supertramp, Tommy James & Alice Cooper. Also featured on the soundtrack are dialogue clips from both the original film and the documentary, including Gore Vidal, Camille Paglia, Al Goldstein, John Waters, and re-recordings of music from the original score by French funk lounge multi-instrumentalist/producer Chris Joss.
