Ft. Myers from www.news-press.com - A Lee County Sheriff’s Office prostitution sting that netted 13 arrests Thursday nabbed a mix of suspects including a woman who advertised herself as a dominatrix.
The sting, dubbed Operation Summer Rain, targeted prostitutes using the Internet.
Undercover detectives, posing as johns, contacted the women by telephone to set up meeting times and places.
The arrests were made at different locations in the county including a motel, homes and other undisclosed locations. The women were charging between $100 and $300 per hour for services, according to the sheriff’s office.
In one sting, Melanie Williams [pictured], 28, who was charging $150 per hour, had the undercover detective go to her house on SW 36th Terrace in Cape Coral.
Once inside, the detective was shown the house, which had a dominatrix theme with the garage equipped with a leather bed, handcuffs and whips and chains hanging from the walls and furniture, the sheriff’s office said. Rooms in the house contained only blow-up mattresses or small beds on the floor.
Before she was taken into custody, Williams stripped and told the detective he could do anything he wanted to her.
In another sting, Crystal Lewis, 23, who was charging $160 per hour, invited an undercover deputy to her home on SE 47th Street in Cape Coral and led him to a shed in her backyard she called “the fun house.”
She also agreed to have sex on a trampoline in the back yard, the sheriff’s office said.
