Corn Country – www.wqad.com – A judge has refused to dismiss charges against the owners of a Cedar Rapids strip club accused of employing underage girls to dance nude.
The owners, 32-year-old Bryan Bresler and 33-year-old Justin Brown, had sought to have the case thrown out because their establishment could be considered a theater under state law. But, the Cedar Rapids Gazette reports, Sixth Judicial District Judge Sean McPartland said Thursday that a jury would have to decide how to classify the business.
Bresler and Brown are scheduled to stand trial April 4 on charges of public indecent exposure.
They’re accused of employing two underage girls at Woody’s Arts and Theater Company, also known as Woody’s Show Club, in 2009. Police have said the men used the girls to perform nude and photographed them.
