Jailer Jessie Lunderby: No Regrets About Playboy Pics; Says She’s Too Busy to Sue

Jessie Lunderby says she’d take it all off all over again.

The 21-year-old corrections officer could still lose her job at an Arkansas jail for posing nude on Playboy.com last month, but she’s sorry about just one thing.

“My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner,” Lunderby told AOL News in a phone interview Tuesday night.

Lunderby has been on paid administrative leave since June, when the Washington County sheriff’s office announced that it was reviewing her after-hours conduct to see whether she had violated any department rules. In the spread, the blond jailer is featured in pink lingerie and, in some photos, completely nude.

Maj. Rick Hoyt said the photos were inappropriate for an officer of the law and may break a department rule that bans employees from working in the sex industry.

“On any given day she has to be hands-on, or giving directions, taking requests from prisoners,” he told local news station 40/29 TV last month.

But Lunderby said she told her bosses she was planning to pose as “Cyber Girl of the Week,” and they never told her not to. She said she learned about her suspension on the news.

“I was furious,” she told AOL News. “That’s my job. They put it into the news, and they didn’t even tell me first.”

Nearly a month later, the sheriff’s office says it still hasn’t completed its review, but Lunderby says life has been pretty good since her public undressing. With a manager and a few movie offers, the Fayetteville native may not need her job at the county jail anyway.

“Their plan backfired. I’m doing really, really well,” she said. “I might want my job back, but I definitely don’t have to worry about finding another job. I’m even talking to a few people about really small movie deals.”

She wouldn’t be specific about what kinds of roles she’d been offered, but noted that she would not be doing anything in the adult film industry.

Lunderby said she’s received a great deal of support in her small community, especially from women.

“I’ve had women from all walks of life, singer women, crazy women, single women, mommas, all tell me they support me,” she said. “Everyone’s been so sweet and awesome.”

She said she initially thought about suing the sheriff’s office but doesn’t see how a lawsuit will fit in her new schedule.

“At first, I was like, ‘I’m going to sue the pants off them.’ But now, I don’t have time for them. I’m kind of busy now,” she said.
