SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA -- Adult mega star Jenna Jameson stars in the first of a series of innovative advertising podcasts created for sneaker maker Adidas.
In the latest example of Jameson's ability to cross-over from adult to mainstream cultural activities, Jameson pounds the living daylights out of six cute little gophers that keep popping out of a coin-fed machine. The White podcast is part of the revival of adiColor, a 1983 Adidas campaign in which Adidas shoes could be personalized with colorful markers.
In the podcast ad created by the hot New York City design studio Tronic, Jameson does vigorous battle in a game of whack-a-mole, then collapses as the camera pans slowly down the curves of her heaving body, clad in a white halter top with a plunging neckline and white short-shorts. The campaign launched this week and is being promoted through an aggressive viral marketing program.
"I had a blast making the commercial and was thrilled when I got to see the final product," says Jameson. "I love Adidas and was so excited to be asked to participate in the ad. I feel fortunate to be part of the campaign."
"Apparently we now have adiporn, but don't get too excited-it is work safe," says CoolHunting.com blogger Josh Rubin in a review of the Podcast ad (http://www.coolhunting.com/archives/2006/03/adicolor_podcas.php). Vivian Rosenthal and Jesse Seppi were the Tronic Studio creative team on the project.
The White podcast is part of the adiColor Video Podcast project, in which seven exciting and culturally relevant young directors and artists were commissioned to create an adiColor Video Podcast. The podcasts update memorable ads from the 1980s for adiColor shoes, which have subsequently achieved cult status among sneaker heads and collectors around the world.
The podcasts are hosted on iTunes as well as adidas.com/adiColor.
