Jay Moyes: “Rev Mel Gets It”

Jay Moyes writes:

Given the car-accident mentality of all things from the departed KSEX, I thought you would appreciate an update regarding the Rev. Mel and Tony Bones show Monday Night.

Rev. Mel granted me the honor of being a guest on her show February 4th. The pair did not bail on KSEX. KSEX bailed on them, completely.

They received a call Sunday night basically saying KSEX was closed. Acting responsibly, she called me right after to let me know she had something new in mind.

Mel is not new to the internet radio side. She modestly claims that she’s been doing this for three years. However, I remember her efforts with Foxy FM closer to five years ago. In the true fashion of “The Show Must Go On”, she invited me to the first live video edition of her program ‘Talking Sex Radio’ last night.

I brought the new Erotic Embrace phthalate-free sex toys for the show,
along with sample packets of Lube XXX for on-air giveaways. They were a hit and I think we may have made a few sales last night to boot. Brandy
Nicole used the Erotic Embrace Ultra Sabi in what was the night’s first
hardcore sex scene. A nice swinger couple was there and they played with
the Erotic Embrace Alien Vibe a little off camera.

On a mainstream note, an actress from the Knight’s Bridge theater came
to discuss ‘Marat Sade, The Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as performed by the inmates of Charenton under the direction of the Marquis de Sade’. For a mainstream stage piece, it is certainly very blue. She talked about the mainstream actors coming to grips with their first nude performances before an audience and on-stage flogging.

Overall, it was a nice show. We were a little late going on air, but compared to some other stations and shows, it was a very minor delay. For a first night, it went very well. Her location is very relaxed and cozy. Mel is great with people. Tony Bones is very funny and talented. Everyone felt comfortable and had fun.

You and I see a lot of people who come into this business who shout from
the rooftops outrageous claims, and people who come in with giant wads of cash. Both types insist they know everything better than we do. We watch them stumble, fall, and often just give up after a few years. Others just simply become too nefarious to work with and become a joke.

Unlike many fools who come in from the outside, Rev. Mel actually gets it. She has no delusions of Talking Sex Radio’s modest beginings, but she’s committed to making something bigger of it in the long run. My prediction is, many years from now, she’ll be talking about TSR’s first video show with amazement as to how big it grew and how much love it brings.
