jessica drake, Ron Jeremy & Other Adult Film Stars in Tampa for Awards Monday Night

TAMPA, FL — from www.firstcoastnews.com- They are some of the biggest names in the adult movie industry – Jessica Drake, Eva Angelina, Ron Jeremy, Derrick Pierce and Kaylani Lei – and they’re all in Tampa this weekend for the 17th Annual NightMoves Adult Awards. In fact, more than 40 adult movie stars have come to the Bay area for the event.

NightMoves Magazine founder Paul Allen [pictured] says his awards show has quietly become one of the biggest in the porn industry, noting that several adult stars like Jenna Jameson got their first award at his show.

“The first year it really hit me, this little girl, little blond girl, kind of attractive, nice build on her, gets off the plane, she was kind of shy, I went up to her and I say, ‘Who are you?’ She says, ‘My name is Jenna Jameson’ and she went on to become the biggest porn star in the business,” Allen recalled.

Allen founded his Oldsmar-based NightMoves Magazine over 20 years ago to promote the Bay area’s adult businesses. He later added an awards show to honor local business and dancers. Eventually, he added national categories like Best Female and Best Male Performer and Best New Starlet and the show has taken off.

“This is huge deal,” Lei, a contract performer for Wicked Pictures, said.

“Honestly, this has turned into one of the biggest events of the year,” added adult movie star Lexi Lamour, who has appeared on Playboy TV and HBO.

This year’s show will be held Monday night at the Dallas Bull in Tampa and it is open to anyone over the age of 18.

“There’s no nudity in any of our shows, but it gets sexy. I’m not going to tell you it’s not sexy,” Allen said.

Promoters expect a crowd of about 2,000 people for Monday’s awards show and general admission tickets start at $40 each. There’re also a number of other events around the Bay area leading up to the show, including a pool party at Caliente on Sunday afternoon.
