Panama City, Florida- As promised, Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis held a news conference Tuesday in Los Angeles, to announce his latest lawsuits involving his legal problems here in Bay County.
Francis wants a Los Angeles court to rescind a settlement agreement he signed with the families of 3-local girls while sitting in a Panama City jail cell.
The girls and their parents sued Francis for videotaping them performing sex acts during Spring Break 2003, while they were underage.
Federal Judge Richard Smoak jailed Francis for contempt of court after he allegedly threatened the families and their attorneys during a mediation session last year. Francis settled the case this year, but claims Judge Smoak coerced the settlement by throwing him in jail.
So now he's suing the girls and their families to have the settlement set aside. Francis and his attorneys also said they intend to sue Bay County officials for 300-million dollars over their handling of his case.
No local officials are named in either of the two lawsuits filed Tuesday.
