from www.chapelhillnews.com – Rielle Hunter and Andrew Young will continue their courtroom battle over a sex tape showing Hunter with former U.S. Senator and presidential candidate John Edwards.

Last year was a tumultuous one for Edwards, with ex-aide Young publishing a tell-all book about his indiscretions, Edwards’ admission to fathering a child with Hunter, a federal investigation into his campaign finances and the death of Elizabeth Edwards, the wife who had stood by him on the campaign trails.

Attorneys have been sharing evidence in the past few months, and parts of Edwards’ sworn deposition could become public if Hunter’s lawsuit to reclaim the tape goes to trial as scheduled Feb. 28. So far, judges have ordered evidence in the case to remain under seal to avoid additional publicity.

In October, Superior Court Judge Carl Fox threatened jail time if either Hunter or Young leaks evidence to the media.

Pre-trial hearings could take place this month.
