Shameless Sheila Vogel-Coupe, 82, appeared on ITV1’s This Morning yesterday to insist that she did not cost Katie her dream – despite being branded a £250-an-hour prostitute and posing for saucy photos three weeks before the X Factor final.

She said: “She ruined my career.” Adding: “I’m not a prostitute, I’m an escort. I go out with gentlemen and I charge them for my time. We may just sit and talk, we may go out for dinner, we may go to the cinema, and we might do other things.”
