Tampa, Florida -- A man who police say downloaded hundreds of pornographic photographs of children -- including infants and toddlers -- was arrested by Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies Wednesday.
He was identified as John Leslie Bagis, 33, of 4733 El Dorado Drive.
Investigators say they received information last September that Bagis had photographed an 11 year old girl posing in a sexually explicit manner, and that he had downloaded the pictures into his computer.
A search warrant led to an examination of his computer equipment.
Deputies say they found 40 pornographic images of the victim, and an additional 825 pornographic photographs of infant, toddler, preadolescent and teenage children.
The name of the victim and location where the photos were taken were not disclosed.
Bagis was charged with 40 counts of production of child pornography and 825 counts of possession of child pornography.
He was being held without bond at the Orient Road jail pending a court appearance in the morning.
