WWW- On Monday's Daily Show, Jon Stewart reminded his viewers of "the role that porn entrepreneur Larry Flynt has played in shaping our government" and how, during the Clinton-Lewinsky sex scandal in 1998, Flynt's revelations led House Speaker-elect Bob Livingston to resign.
"Flynt is at it again," said Stewart, displaying a full-page ad offering $1 million for documented proof of a sexual encounter with a Congress member or high-ranking government official.
Stewart then spoke with Flynt by phone from Los Angeles. "We gotta get rid of the liars," said Flynt. "If we're gonna get another president in the White House who's getting head in the Oval Office, male or female, the American people should find that out now."
Stewart objected that looking for sexual scandals presently, unlike during the Clinton impeachment, "seems like sort of a non sequitur. Wouldn't it be better to offer a million dollars for someone who has proof of how we got into this fistfuck in Iraq -- and by the way, when I say 'fistfuck' I don't mean to offend your delicate sensibilities."
"I've been doing this for years," responded Flynt, saying he'd already gotten 76 good leads but expected that to fall off to about 10.
"I'm gonna give you my top one," said Stewart. "If you get this, I'll actually give you a million dollars. Dick Cheney sucking off a horse. Think you can get it?"
"Well, I'll try," promised Flynt.
